6 Underrated Things To Do At Disney Springs With Your Kids

Disney Springs is one of those places that somehow feels a little more magical every single trip, and I will forever say this: it is the perfect arrival day activity. We almost always plan it into our first night. After a long flight day, knowing we have shopping, dinner, and fun waiting for us makes the whole travel day feel exciting instead of exhausting.

Another bonus that people forget about is that it does not cost anything to get into Disney Springs. If you are staying on Disney property, you can take a free bus or even a boat depending on where you are staying. It is easy, stress free, and does not require a park ticket. For our family, Disney Springs is a must do every single trip.

Here are six underrated things to do at Disney Springs with your kids that add just the right amount of magic to your vacation.

1. Drinks on the Third Floor of the Coca-Cola Store

This is one of my favorite hidden gems at Disney Springs and it is so often overlooked. Head up to the third floor of the Coca-Cola Store for drinks, incredible views, and such a fun, laid back vibe.

The best part for families is that it is not considered a bar, so kids are more than welcome. When I bring mine, they always go straight for the float tray. It feels like a fun treat for them while you get to relax, soak in the views, and officially kick off vacation mode.

2. Dinner at Planet Hollywood

Planet Hollywood is a fantastic family dinner option, especially on arrival night. The restaurant is big, lively, and filled with movie memorabilia everywhere you look, which keeps kids entertained from the moment you walk in.

The menu truly has something for everyone, which is exactly what you want after a long travel day. Our go to favorites are the HUGE nachos, the bacon mac and cheese burger, and the chicken strips. Comfort food done right and always a hit with the whole family.

3. Ghirardelli Ice Cream Shop

If you are traveling with an ice cream lover, this stop is a must. Ghirardelli Ice Cream Shop is a classic Disney Springs experience and one that never disappoints.

Whether you grab a sundae to share or let everyone choose their own, it is the perfect way to end a meal or take a little break while exploring. Simple, sweet, and full of Disney vacation vibes.

4. Gideon’s Bakehouse

Gideon’s Bakehouse is famous for a reason. The cookies are massive, rich, and meant to be shared. The theming inside feels dark, cozy, and slightly mysterious, which kids usually find pretty cool.

If you can catch Hot Cookie Hour, even better. Warm cookies fresh from the oven take this experience to the next level and make it feel extra special. It is one of those treats that feels truly unique to Disney Springs.

5. Get Your Souvenir Shopping Done Early

Here is a little insider tip I learned from Cast Members. World of Disney at Disney Springs has the highest priority for inventory. That means if you are searching for something specific, your chances of finding it here are very high.

I actually love getting my kids their souvenirs early in the trip. They get to enjoy them throughout the entire vacation, and it saves time in the parks later on. It is a win all around.

6. Getting Snowed On During the Holidays

If you are visiting Disney Springs during the holidays, getting snowed on is an absolute must. It is incredibly magical and truly feels like Disney magic at its finest.

If this happens to be your first night at Disney, it sets the tone for the entire trip in the best possible way. There is just something about falling snow, holiday music, and excited kids that makes everything feel extra special.

Disney Springs is so much more than a place to fill time. It is fun, easy, and full of moments that make your vacation feel magical from the very beginning. Whether it is your arrival day or a rest day, these underrated experiences are always worth adding to your plans.
